Door window glass – removal and installation
Front
1. Remove the door trim panel (Door trim panels – removal and installation).
2. Remove the speaker (see Chassis electrical system).
3. Pry the inner weather seal out of the door glass opening (see illustration).

4. Remove the access hole cover, then temporarily install the window crank or the power window switch and move the window so you can reach the glass clips through the speaker opening and the access hole (see illustration).

5. Unclip the glass from the window regulator plates (see illustrations).
18.5a Release the glass clips …
18.5b … then move the glass out of the retainer
6. Remove the window by tilting it forward to release it from the front and rear channels, then lift it out of the door.
7. If necessary, use a vacuum cleaner hose inserted through the holes to remove all traces of any broken glass. Note: Glass debris left in the door will create noise.
8. To install, lower the glass into the door, slide it into position and secure the clips.
9. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.
Rear
10. Remove the carrier plate (Door carrier plate, latch, handles and lock cylinder – removal and installation).
11. Remove the glass through the lower section of the door.
12. Installation is the reverse of removal.
