Spark plug wire replacement (3.7L/5.7L engines)
1. Remove any interfering air intake components for access to all of the wires.
2. Disconnect and remove only one wire at a time to avoid confusion. Grab the rubber boot, twist slightly and pull it free. Don’t pull on the wire itself; only on the rubber boot. A boot pulling tool is useful.
3. Apply a small amount of dielectric ignition grease inside each new wire boot before installing it. Make sure that each wire is routed properly and can’t touch any sharp or moving parts.
