Closed Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) filter replacement (diesel engine)
(every 60,000 miles or 48 months)
Note: The breather cover is mounted on top of the valve cover.
1. Remove the engine cover and all interfering heat shields.
2. Detach the breather hoses from the breather cover.
3. Remove the bolts from the edges of the breather cover, then pull the breather off of the valve cover.
4. Remove the filter from the recess in the valve cover.
5. Install a new filter, then replace the breather cover. Don’t try to clean the filter.
