Coil spring (rear) – removal and installation
1. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.
2. Place a jack under the rear axle to support its weight.
3. Remove the bolt from the lower shock absorber mount.
4. Slowly lower the jack until the spring and insulator can be pulled out. Caution: Don’t put tension on the rubber brake hoses or allow the rear axle to fall from the jack.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten all fasteners to the torque listed in this Chapter’s Specifications.
