Air conditioning pressure switch – replacement
Note: The air conditioning pressure switch is mounted on the high pressure line. It’s not necessary to evacuate the system in order to replace the switch.
1. Disconnect the cable (s) from the negative battery terminal(s) (see Engine electrical systems).
2. Unplug the electrical connector from the air conditioning pressure switch (see illustration).

3. Unscrew the pressure switch.
4. Lubricate the new switch 0-ring with clean refrigerant oil of the correct type. Cau tion: Use an 0-ring that’s compatible with R-134a refrigerant.
5. Screw the new part onto the refrigerant line until hand tight, then tighten it securely.
6. Reconnect the electrical connector and the negative battery cable (s).
